Failure to comply with this obligation shall be deemed a serious breach of the terms herein and shall entitle the company or its affiliates to terminate the services, without prejudice to any damages, to which the customer may be entitled otherwise.

1. What personal information we collect

We collect, use and process various types of personal information about customer accounts to the extent appropriate for your relationship with us. The personal information that we collect about you may include but is not limited to name, address, email address, telephone and mobile number, date of birth, personal identifiers such as passport number, permanent account number, driving license, occupation, assets and income , account balances, payment history, account activity, credit worthiness and other personally identifiable information and sensitive personal data or information as defined in the Information Security Rules, 2011 and Know Your Customer (KYC) Direction, 2016 as amended from time to time.

The collection of personal information about you is from a variety of sources, including through:

Online and electronic interactions / surveys including via website of our company / group companies, mobile applications, text messaging programs or applications on third party social networks, transaction with affiliate or non affiliate third parties , credit bureaus , employers etc.

Offline interactions, including via direct marketing campaigns, hard copy registration / application forms, competition entries / contests and contacts through Company’s call centres; and

Your interaction with online targeted content (such as advertisements) or service providers on our behalf, provide to you via third party websites or applications.

 

2. Purpose for which we use personal information

We use and process customer’s personal information for a range of purposes, which may include but is not limited to:

Terms and Conditions of Reliance Home Finance on Whatsapp:

 

1. The user is subscribing to Whatsapp service and promoted alerts from Reliance Home Finance Limited (RHFL).

2. The user will be asked to subscribe to our WhatsApp service based on the user’s number in our records to the service at the time of log-in to our customer service portal, signing of the application form or through opt-in message either on email or SMS. The user will have the ability to opt out of the service by deselecting the check box or by responding to the communication.

3. The user can also subscribe and unsubscribe from our WhatsApp channel by sending us an email at customercare@reliancehomefinance.com

4. Currently, this channel is only meant for sending important information about the customer loan application and documents, and can not be used for grievance redressal or reporting of fraud.

5. Customer shall not submit or transmit any content through this service that is:
a. Obscene, Vulgar, Pornographic, Political, Religious etc.
b. Encourage the commission of a crime or violation of any law
c. Promotes fake or unverified news
d. Infringes the intellectual or copyrights of a third party

If a user is found to sharing any of the above mention content, then RHFL has to right to report them to concerned authority as provisioned in the law of the land or follow a legal recourse toward the user.

6. Under no circumstances shall Reliance Home Finance, or its agent, affiliated companies, officers, directors, employees and contractors be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special or consequential damages that results in the user of, or inability to use this service or for receipt of any answers provided by the program running at the backend.

7. Customer understand that WhatsApp is an independent 3rd party service and comes with it own legal terms and conditions, risk and terms of use. RHFL shall not be responsible or liable to the customer or any 3rd party for the consequence arising out of or in connection with using of this service.

8. RHFL reserves the right to retract the service anytime it deems fit.

9. RHFL reserves the right to change the terms and conditions any time and will be undated at RHFL discretion without notice.

RBI Circular

 

This is with reference to RBI circular DPSS.CO.CHD.No. 399 / 04.07.05 / 2012-13 dated September 3rd, 2012 on Cheque Truncation System (CTS 2010).

There have been certain changes made to the cheques issued by the Banks in order to facilitate clearing under CTS. These changes are available only in cheque books issued by your banker after August 2011.

If you have obtained the cheque book prior to this, the cheques will not be valid after July 31st 2013 for clearing. You are therefore requested to swap new CTS compliant cheque against existing non CTS compliant cheques or you can also swap your Repayment mode to ECS by visiting our nearest branch. We will appreciate if you can swap repayment before July 15 2013.

Pls note, you need to check whether CTS-2010 is specified on the left hand side of the cheque which is an indication of cheque being CTS compliant.

One User ID can be created by you on the website of any RHFL Group Entities by using your login credentials as registered with the respective RHFL Group Entities while availing the products / services and completing the authentication procedure in the manner specified at the time of creation of One User ID.

5.3. You may choose not to create One User ID in which case you will not be able to display all your products across RHFL Group Entities on one page.

5.4. RHFL reserves the right in its sole discretion to refuse registration of or cancel a User ID, domain name, and project name. You are solely responsible for activity that occurs on your account and shall be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password for the Site. You shall never use another User account without the other User's expressed permission. You will immediately notify RHFL in writing of any unauthorized use of your account, or other known account-related security breach.

5.5. You may deactivate your account at any time you desire, in which case Your profile information, including your name, contact details and profile picture uploaded by You, will be deleted from our database in [0]days/months. You also understand and agree that though you may delete your account or some information from your account, the same may still appear in some online searches. RHFL has no control over the search results that show up in such third party engines or websites.

6. Rights of RHFL

6.1. RHFL shall have the right to:

  • 6.1.3. cancel accounts or decline to offer our services and or products;

6.2. RHFL will not have any ownership rights over your User submissions and Content. 12. Guidelines for Rate Reduction to existing customer

12.1 We offer our existing customer the option to reduce the applicable rate of interest on the loan (by changing the spread or switching between schemes) through our Conversion Facility. Customer can take advantage of this facility by paying a nominal fee and opt for either reducing your monthly instalment (EMI) or loan tenure.

The following options of conversion are available to an existing customer of RHFL (based on customer request): a) Switch to A Lower Interest Rate in The Adjustable Interest Rate Option: RHFL offers option to existing customers (based on customer request) to convert existing adjustable rate to RHFL's current adjustable rate by effectuating a change in the spread as indicated in the loan agreement.

  • In case of a partly disbursed loan, the fee payable to avail the conversion shall be upto 2.00% plus applicable taxes of the principal outstanding plus the undisbursed loan amount.
  • In case of a fully disbursed loan, the fee payable to avail the conversion shall be upto 2.00% plus applicable taxes of the principal outstanding.

b) Switch from Fixed Interest Rate Option to The Adjustable Interest Rate Option: RHFL offers option to existing customers (based on customer request) to convert from a Fixed Interest Rate Option to the Adjustable Interest Rate Option for the balance term of the loan.

  • In case of a partly disbursed loan, the fee payable to avail the conversion shall be 0.50% plus applicable taxes of the principal outstanding plus the undisbursed loan amount.
  • In case of a fully disbursed loan, the fee payable to avail the conversion shall be 0.50% plus applicable taxes of the principal outstanding.

 

13. Applicability

15. Limitation of liability

15.1. In no event shall RHFL, nor its directors, employees, agents, partners, vendors, suppliers, or content providers, be liable under contract, tort, strict liability, negligence, or any other legal or equitable theory with respect to the services or products:

  • 15.1.1. for any lost profits, data loss, cost of procurement of substitute goods or services, or special, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages of any kind whatsoever, substitute goods or services (however arising); and
  • 15.1.2. for any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or the like (regardless of the source of origination).

15.2. RHFL shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations hereunder where the failure results from any cause beyond the RHFL's reasonable control, including, without limitation, third party intervention, change in law or economic circumstances, mechanical, electronic, or communications failure or degradation.

16. Consent, electronic communications and use of cookies

16.1. Consent

  • 16.1.1. You hereby give consent under these Terms of Use, for availing information/services related to RHFL Group Entities; You agree and authorise the RHFL to collect, store, process, share, transfer/transmit your Information with its RHFL Group Entities and other associated business partners and third parties, in so far as required for offering of facilities through this website and for analytical / marketing purposes /report generations and/or to offer connected facilities on the website and may also include transfer/sharing/transmitting of sensitive personal data or information only if it is deemed necessary for the performance of facilities and to provide you with various value added and ancillary facilities/services and information, to aid you in managing your money needs in the manner agreed under these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.   • 16.1.3. You have the option to withdraw or opt out the said consent in the manner specified under the Privacy Policy and details as provided on the website. The Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be effective upon posting of the revised Privacy Policy on the website.
  • 16.1.4. These Terms of Use and any notices or other communications regarding the facilities, services or products may be provided to you electronically, and you agree to receive communications from the Site in electronic form. 17. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
