Lolice Constable is the basic recruitment level for joining police force. The competitive examination comprises of written test, physical ground test and interview. Candidate also has to pass medical examination. Maharashtra Public Service Commission conducts State Service Examination for various Grade A and B posts in administration. Dy. SP. is one of the posts filled through this competitive examination. Graduation or equivalent is the basic educational qualification for this competitive examination. Examination consist of written test and interview. Candidate also has to pass medical examination. Union Public Service Commission conducts Civil Services Examination. Through this examination senior officers in All India Services like IAS, IPS and Central Services like IRS etc. are filled. Graduation or equivalent degree is the basic educational qualification. Examination constitutes in two stages preliminary and main examinations and interview. Candidate also has to clear medical examination. Senior most officers of the police force are from IPS Cadre.
